Involve (www.involveedu.com) was founded by recent graduates from IIT Madras, Divanshu, & Samyak, and is an international award-winning organization that works with schools to develop age-appropriate leadership in seniors and improves academics of juniors using PEER TEACHING. We train and mentor senior school students (from 7th grade onwards) to teach their juniors (4th-8th grades). Mission: To implement Peer Teaching classrooms across schools to develop leadership skills in students

Overview of the Role:

The Design and Research Associate role is aimed at understanding the grass-root challenges and designing the program. This role is most suited for those exploring opportunities in doing primary and/or secondary research and in leading the program design. It will be focused on creating a sustainable and scalable Peer Teaching Program for various age groups of students in schools.

1. Program Design Support

Research & develop tools to support aspects of Peer Teaching, skill and academic development of students aimed at creating a student-driven ecosystem.

Develop a strategic plan for supporting ops team aligned to the scope and focus of the projects

and their current stage of intervention at different partner schools

Create learning environments and build capacity within the team through shared learning, unconditional support and strong self and peer accountability

Establish goals and systems to analyze progress at schools

Evaluate underlying causes for gaps in implementation, collaborate to respond effectively and

contribute to customizing program

2. Org Engagement

Identify and forge new external partnerships with organizations/people aimed at learning from existing resources

Participate in meetings, workshops or related forums/events, as required by school or Involve

3. Documenting and reporting

Lead efforts to document and create case studies/papers from various programs/interventions

Adapt tools or surveys to evaluate, collect data and document stakeholder (parents, teachers, students) response to intervention

You should have:

A degree in education AND/OR experience teaching in low-income schools or government schools

Prior experience in leading design efforts for 21st Century Skills or content development

Prior experience in doing primary or secondary research.

Track record of independently leading a successful project or team delivering educational

programs AND/OR working with teachers/students will be an added advantage

Strong work Ethics: Punctuality, Sense of environment, self-driven; 

Interests: Passionate about education; enjoys mentoring and working with school kids. 

Location: Chennai/Bangalore (Should be fluent in either Tamil or Kannada)

Compensation: Rs. 25,000- 35,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience & fit)
